Horse Island is a natural wildlife reserve area! An area from highest worth! An island full of wonder and the finest decoration nature has to offer! You won't find this anywhere else on earth! Compare it with every island you've seen up until now. Observe the pictures in all their details and imagine being able to call this genuine gift from heaven your very own! Let your spirit roam barefoot through the sand. Build a small driftwood fire on the beach (sure you're allowed to!). Steam mussels picked with your own hand in their abundance from the water at your feet. You'll never enjoy them fresher. And how about a dry white wine to go along with that? Are you beginning to notice how truly wealthy you would be then?

NatureHorse Island lies in a substream of the Gulf Stream, sometimes giving the island "it's own weather". 75° F was once measured here on December, 14th. The water, air and wind are similar to that of the German North Sea islands, but with the important difference that there is no winter with snow and ice on Horse Island. The outlying islands break the greatest force of the waves from the open sea. Still, during the winter time they can also get down to business! Horse Island has pure, fresh air with a great salt content. Just lick your lips when you've been on the island for the first 20 minutes! The water? Well, it's crystal-clear...

All around Horse Island you can meet and greet dolphins and even otters proudly demonstrating for their young how to open a mussel with the assistance of a rock. Not far from Horse Island there is a seal colony and this island is home to seagulls, sea ravens and many species of land-based birds who feel right at home in the bushes and trees of the island. Pheasants and wild ducks are present too. Anglers feel like they've died an gone to heaven on Horse Island! All around the island there are rich reserves of mackerel, cod, whiting, coalfish, pollock, sea trout, salmon, gray mullet and conger eels. Aside from this you can set basket traps for catching lobster and crabs.
